Welcome to the central dictionary of the WaterIonizer.com ecosystem. Every time you see a dotted underline or a ? icon next to a complex industry term on our site, these are the exact definitions you're seeing.

Electrolysis Plates

Platinum-coated titanium electrodes inside the ionizer that separate water into alkaline and acidic streams. More surface area generally means stronger ionization and higher hydrogen output.

Mesh Plates

An advanced electrode plate design where the titanium has a grid-like texture. This significantly increases surface area and creates microscopic 'edges' for stronger electrolysis efficiency compared to flat, solid plates.

Molecular Hydrogen (H2)

A tasteless, odorless therapeutic gas dissolved in ionized water. The ideal clinical range for antioxidant benefits is 1.0 to 1.5+ PPM.

ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential)

A measurement of water's ability to act as an antioxidant. Negative ORP (-mV) indicates a surplus of electrons, which neutralize free radicals.

PFAS (Forever Chemicals)

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. Highly persistent toxic chemicals increasingly found in tap water. They require advanced ultra-filtration multi-stage cartridges to remove.

pH (Potential of Hydrogen)

A scale from 0 to 14 measuring whether water is acidic or alkaline. 7.0 is neutral. Quality drinking ionized water typically ranges from 8.5 to 9.5 pH.

PPM (Parts Per Million)

A unit of measurement used to quantify the concentration of dissolved molecular hydrogen gas (H2) or minerals in water.

SMPS Power Supply

Switched-Mode Power Supply. A modern, highly efficient power system that regulates voltage to the plates without overheating or degrading, unlike legacy transformer-based machines.
